EVERYBODY sings Fukuyama Masaharu at karaoke. My list:
Melody
It's Only Love
All My Loving
Koibito
Hello (THE all-time champ)
Message
Heart
You (not very often)
Peach!
Squall
Sakurazaka (most-requested tune)
Niji
Sore ga Subete sa (the Pocari Sweat CM song)
(Copied from Facebook, where the "25 Random Things" thang ended with me.)
Tunes "performed" this past Friday at Toma:
Oh My Little Girl -- Ozaki Yutaka
Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me -- Elton John
Umiyuki -- Jero
Daite Senorita -- Yamashita Tomohisa (thanks, Z!)
A Hard Day's Night -- The Beatles
sha la la -- Skoop On Somebody
My Gift To You -- Chemistry
Surrender -- Cheap Trick
My karaoke tunes from this past Wednesday at GS Studio, Waikiki, USA:
Seishun Amigo -- my friend wanted to sing it, again
Sekaijuu no Dareyori Kitto -- another duet, although it seemed like I sang over 80 percent of the song
Kassai -- ditto above.
You Go Your Way -- had the Chemistry PV
Bus Stop -- early 70s "enka" standard by Taira Koji
Onna ni Sachie Are -- you all know this one...
Hakaida no Uta -- 70s J-hero era tune
Choo Choo Train -- had the Exile PV
Chigireta Ai -- VERY cheesy 70s J-pop by Saijo Hideki, sung like a William Shatner oratory
Hana to Mitsuboshi -- teenage Go Hiromi standard, sung like I had a stuck nose
Aruiteru -- the song by Musume and Company that's STILL reviled by hundreds of English-speaking bloggers
"S"ENSATIONAL WIND -- a song by ribbon, one of my official five J-pop religions
Songs I did at last Thursday's GS Studio epic included:
Chemistry - My Gift to You
Fukuyama Masaharu - Koibito
Southern All-Stars - Anata Dake wo ~Summer Heartbreak~
Go Hiromi - Yoroshiku Aishuu
Kusunose Seishiro - Shiawase Madakai
Mr.Children - Innocent World
Sharan Q - Aruiteru
TOKIO - Love You Only
Fujii Fumiya - True Love
Komekome Club - Kimi ga Iru Dake de
SMAP - Shake, Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana
KAN - Ai wa Katsu
Damn, I forgot to do "Seishun Amigo"!
Went to karaoke on Monday night (GS Studio in Waikiki) for a friend's birthday. After several drinks I changed from my regular songs (Fukuyama, "Ai wa Katsu," "Kimi ga Iru Dakede") to the stoopid variety. I flipped through the huge songbook and there was this Ayaya medley that was screaming out at me.
Songs in the medley:
The Bigaku
Ne~e?
Love Namidairo
100kai no Kiss
Momoiro Kataomoi
Yeah! Meccha Holiday
Dokki Doki Love Mail
Tropical Koishiteru
It got more stoopid after that but that's only because I kept adjusting every difficult song (e.g. "Hitomi wo Tojite") to the correct pitch, basically blowing out my vocal cords for the rest of this week.
